Top 5 Tools Apps on Android in the Middle East, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of top tools apps on the Android platform in the Middle East showcased interesting trends, as revealed by Sensor Tower data.

Google Translate maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads starting at approximately 82.6K in early October, peaking at 90.5K by the end of December. The app also experienced a decrease in weekly active users from around 12M to just over 10.6M.

All Video Downloader & Player saw a rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 83.6K and reaching 99.1K by late December. Active users fluctuated, starting at 722K and ending the quarter at 739K.

SHAREit: Transfer, Share Files experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, from 80.6K to a peak of 105.7K. Weekly active users showed some decline, ending the quarter at 2.2M from an initial 2.4M.

Proxy Browser reported consistent growth in weekly revenue, peaking at $379 in early December. Downloads rose from 55.7K to 66.8K, and active users increased from 69.7K to 78.6K.

Finally, QR & Barcode Scanner saw modest download numbers starting at 64.2K and slightly decreasing to 60.2K at the end of the quarter, while active users dropped from 1.7M to 1.5M.
